  • Seattle's Best 2010 Journal

    Food

27 days to go for you to be able to get your very own Seattle's Best Coffee 2010 Journal. I already got mine, and I chose the one with the pearl white cover because it has this cool pearly effect that plays with the light . The journal also comes in black and red.

The journal is meant to give it's owner a chance to write more than just their schedule, the reason why SBC Philippines decided to do away with planners and calendars. Inside are ruled pages which you can use to scrawl your day's fancy, a memorable experience, or just about anything and everything that crosses your mind. You can also make sketches and drawings of the things happening around you, should that be your desire of the moment.

Unlike the Starbucks planner, the design is smooth yet bold. Two adjectives that best describes the shop's brews. No fancy stories here, just plain and simple ruled papers with cool prints.

At the back of the journal are 12 treats valid, each stub valid on their designated dates. One for each month of the year. Mind you, SBC is much more generous than Starbucks whose planner comes with only six coupons. SBC's coupons would treat customers to free coffee, discounts on merchandise, and free yums!

So, go on, just drink 20 coffee cups and you'll have your very own, honest to goodness, pearly white journal. Sadly, the journal is available only in the Philippines, so, if your not from Pinas and want to get one, better come over .

  • Talking of freebies and other merchandising gimmicks, last year I was also able to get a mug from Bo's Coffee Club, and the mug sucks! It leaks! God, if these companies plan to "thank" their so-called loyal customers, they better be honest with the gifts that they are supposed to give. Mind you, they are not just giving out these freebies for free because we customers have to buy several of their products and spend much before we are entitled to such privileges!

Boo to Bo's. I hope this year their freebies would be better. But I doubt.

Also got my Starbucks planner this year... Hmm.... It's quality and design is becoming boring as well... And no pen, and not as much freebies for the rest of year, unlike SBCs.
