Today is Holy Thursday or Maundy Thursday. This is the day that the Catholic church remembers the last supper of Jesus and his disciples. According to the Catholic Encyclopedia, this is the oldest observance of the Holy Week.
For this reason, most people would go on fast until they receive the Holy Eucharist.

Other tradition in the Philippines would include the Bisita Iglesia, or the visit to seven churches.
Today, I plan to go to these churches, not necessarily in order:
1. Adoration Convent of Divine Peace, Banilad, Mandaue City
2. Carmelite Monastery, Mabolo, Cebu City
3. St. Joseph Church, Mabolo, Cebu City
4. Metropolitan Cathedral, Cebu City
5. Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño, Cebu City
6. Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Punta Princesa, Cebu City
7. Sto. Rosario Church, Cebu CityWill give more details in a later post.

I'm going to the Holy Thursday mass tonight with my parents, and the Good Friday mass tomorrow. Time to behave ourselves. Also, it's time to ask for forgiveness and forgive others. Happy Easter.

@RestlessButterfly - i should go fasting for the rest of my adult life... hehehe i need to go on a slimming diet...
today, i ate at already around 8 pm... and got to drink water around 7 pm... all day i was out going around to these churches... will post soon 
tired... weak from all the walking (i didn't literally walk to all churches though, i would faint!)
@tribong_upos - Today is my productive day ever. A. Delina (Business Credit Manager was transferred to another department today and the one who replaced her still a bit 'lost'. F. Wahida tendered resignation 24hrs today. Gee on maternity leave started today and for 60 more days. Shifa on vacation to Auckland for 2 weeks started today. And today also 1st day of new monthly, customer asked for balances, for statements, for confirmation and Treasury department asked for monthly reports.
I reported duty at 7:25am, my big boss PA bought me a lunch and I've to eat office pantry and then continue working till 8:30pm. Reached home 1/2 hr ago... tired!

i would consider my self as ecumenical... hehehe i don't like religions... im more into the spiritual side of the devotion
