  • Five things I love about me

    Thoughts

This post is part of the Positivity Blog Week Challenge posed by @Shining_Garnet. Sharing a dose of positivity to enrich the blogging world.

What do I love about myself?

Well, now that you ask me that question, I really don't have any definite answer. Always thought I was a self-absorbed individual but why am I having a hard time thinking of things that I really love about me? It bothers me.

Ok let me try my best... I'm not sure if these are really the things that I love about me, but if you'd ask me the things I hate about me, I can make 100 entries for it. So, anway...

    1. I love to explore. I love to learn new things, to see new things, to experience new things and this is the reason why I easily adapt to new environment.

    2. Vocal yet willing to compromise based on principle. I have been in plenty of trouble for blurting out things that shouldn't be said. I have the audacity to say things because I know that I have the proof to back what I say. However, when circumstance would dictate it, I am also able to find a compromise in situations that I believed would not be resolved without resorting to such compromise. Of course, such compromise must be made based on principle.

    3. Love to volunteer. Perhaps one of the reasons why I don't really have any money is because I do not ask people (even those who can pay) to pay me for the help that I have given to them. This is specially true to causes and organizations whose vision and mission I believe in like Fair Trade and human rights.

    4. My family. They are the most supportive and the most understanding. I am really fortunate to have such a family.

    5. I love to smile. Years ago, my smile could not be taken out of my face that's why people would call me tingsi, which means smile. There was also a time when laughter was so easy for me to come by. I miss those times, and I hope to be able to get them back from whoever stole them from me. I'm starting to get them back, slowly but surely.

There goes. So, am I contributing some positivity?
