  • Raining apples

    News

A candy red colored apple rain

Last Tuesday, The Telegraph reported that a main road in Keresley, Coventry experienced weird weather - a rain of apples.

The motorists were surprised as 100 apples rained on top of them, good thing it was after the busy hours.

Several theories came about, from the absurd to the scientific.

It was not hard for people to compare it with the Exodus and the rain of frogs, good thing this is something less icky, but very painful should you be caught outside.

Some people think its witchcraft, others credit the incident to some pranksters, while still some believe its from some plane passing over the street.

Weather experts, on the other hand believe that its some air vortex (something like a whirlwind) raising apples from some distant apple orchard, until the force of air subsides causing the apples to fall.

So, do you think this is a sign for the end of times or simply climate change?

By the way, don't be disturbed by the photo. That's not the photo of the event, but some photo I got from Flickr (check the credit, below).
