  • Sparty people!

    Rants

Today was a rather relaxing day.

Well, it started last night when I had a massage at Hapuhap Spa. It was awesome, and I slept like a baby.

Then this afternoon, a bunch of my friends and I were treated to an afternoon of Ganbanyuko at D' Miracle of Stone Spa by Aboitiz Equity Ventures (AEV) and the Visayas Electric Company (VECO). Thank you so much.

Ganbanyuko is basically a sauna, but with a twist, so to speak. It's supposed to have a detoxifying effect due to the charged stone that they have inserted on the floor and on which people would lie on. The room is heated at a low temperature but enough for you to sweat like there is no tomorrow.

Because of the profuse sweating, it is advised for you to get out of the room every 15 minutes and have a glass of water or maybe some tea.

Ganbanyuko, I was told, started in Thailand but became so popular in Japan. In Cebu there are two wellness centers that offer this as their primary service, Queen of Stone Spa and the one where we went to, D' Miracle of Stone Spa.

    Other benefits are:

    • improve blood circulation
    • improve natural healing system (atopy improvement etc.)
    • enhance skin by composition of collagen in the body
    • improve immunity
    • improve stiff shoulders
    • weight loss effect
    • anti-aging effect
    • promote metabolism
    • relieve constipation
    • relieve back pains
    • detoxification effect
    • relieve physical and mental stress

So, this is me after the ganbanyuko experience:

Now, I am like exhausted and just want to have some sleep...

Again, thank you AEV and VECO for a healthy afternoon. And I am so happy to have so many friends to enjoy such a wonderful experience with.
